Dynamic Instruments, Inc. and its wholly owned subsidiary, Hardy Instruments, Inc. have been acquired by Roper Industries, Inc. (NYSE:ROP). Based in San Diego, California, Dynamic Instruments is a designer of vibration analysis and calibration equipment for defense aircraft and digital voice recording systems and software primarily for the homeland security market. Hardy Instruments is a leading manufacturer of measurement, process control, automation and analysis systems for process weighing, tension control and vibration monitoring. Dynamic Instruments and Hardy Instruments will be consolidated as business units of the Energy Systems and Controls division of Roper Industries.

Roper Industries is a designer and manufacturer of energy systems and controls, scientific and industrial imaging products and software, industrial technology products, and radio frequency products and services for applications in the water, energy, research, medical, and general industries.

Roper acquired the stock of Dynamic Instruments for total cash consideration of $31 million. Philpott Ball & Werner served as advisor to Dynamic Instruments.
