Horstman, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of high performance military vehicle suspension systems, has acquired Windward, Inc. Based in Slidell, Louisiana, Windward is a designer and manufacturer of sophisticated hydraulic and pneumatic components and mechanical accessories for military ground vehicles. Windward services multiple branches of the U.S. Department of Defense on major armored fighting vehicle and armored personnel carrier platforms. The Company also provides sophisticated hydraulic components for the down-hole oil & gas markets.

Horstman, a subsidiary of UK based Harris Watson Holdings plc, is a designer and manufacturer of suspension systems for numerous military ground vehicle platforms including heavy tanks, artillery, wheeled heavy assault vehicles, personnel carriers and light vehicles from major manufacturers such as BAE and General Dynamics.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Philpot Ball & Werner served as advisor to Harris Watson Holdings plc.
