Impact Science & Technology has been acquired by EDO

Impact Science & Technology, Inc. (“IST”), a designer and manufacturer of advanced defense electronic systems, has been acquired by EDO Corporation (NYSE:EDO). Based in Nashua, New Hampshire, IST provides Signals Intelligence (“SIGINT”) systems and analysis support to the intelligence community, and advanced countermeasures and electronic-attack systems to the U.S. Department of Defense and other government agencies.

EDO Corporation designs and manufactures a diverse range of products for the defense, intelligence, and commercial markets including defense electronics, communications systems, aircraft armament systems, undersea warfare systems, and integrated composite structures.

EDO acquired all of the outstanding shares of IST for total consideration of $124 million. Philpott Ball & Werner served as advisor to IST.
