Kelly Aerospace Energy Systems, LLC (“KAES” or the “Company”), a manufacturer of OEM new & refurbished parts for piston engine aircraft, helicopters and military applications, has been acquired by Hartzell Engine Technologies, LLC. Based in Montgomery, Alabama, KAES designs, manufactures and provides overhaul services for alternators and starters used on Lycoming and Teledyne Continental Motors (“TCM”) engines, two of the most widely flown piston engine brands in the aerospace industry. For Lycoming engines, the Company is the sole source supplier of alternators. Additionally, KAES manufactures and overhauls Janitrol combustion aircraft cabin heaters. KAES is the sole source supplier of heaters for several major military helicopter platforms including the CH-46 Sea Knight, CH-47 Chinook and CH-53 Sea Stallion. KAES also overhauls Bendix and TCM magnetos and manufactures a number of electronics accessories, including electrodelta voltage regulators, master control units, alternator control units and battery capacitance analyzers.

Hartzell Engine Technologies is the aircraft engine components business of the Hartzell group of companies, a leading aerospace manufacturer owned by Tailwind Technologies.
