Paty Lumber Company has been acquired by BSL Holdings, Inc. (“Builders FirstSource”), the building products distribution company of Stonegate Resources, LLC. Founded in 1932 and headquartered in Piney Flats, Tennesee, Pat Lumber is a lumber and building supplies distribution company with 350 employees and $78 million in revenue that provides builders and professional contractors with a comprehensive selection of residential construction and remodeling products. Paty operates seven lumber yards and distribution centers in East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia and also has a manufacturing and millwork assembly plant in Piney Flats. Paty Lumber will become a part of the Pelican Companies subsidiary of Builders FirstSource.
Builders FirstSource is the nation’s third largest distributor of building materials to homebuilders and contractors with over 70 distribution locations in ten states.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Philpott Ball & Werner served as advisor to Paty Lumber.
