Prime Turbines, Inc., a leading provider of MRO services and PMA parts for PT6 turbine engines, has been acquired by Avatas Aerospace, Inc. Based in Hyannis, Massachusetts, Prime is an FAA certified repair station that offers hot section recertification, power section repair, gas generator repair, fuel nozzle overhaul and exchange, and bleed valve overhaul and exchange. Prime is also is an authorized distributor of FAA certified PMA parts for PT6 hot sections. Prime Turbines maintains FAA and EASA approvals and serves customers in the U.S., Canada, South America and Europe.
Avatas Aerospace is a provider of aircraft engine MRO services specializing in PT6 engines through its Avatas Engine Support Services business in Dallas, Texas, as well as in CFM56, GE CF6 and IAE V2500 engine and engine parts repair through its subsidiary CT Aerospace in Carrolton, Texas.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Philpott Ball & Werner served as adviser to Prime Turbines.
