Transaction Announcement: KB Electronics has been acquired by Nidec

PB&W is pleased to announce that KB Electronics, Inc. (“KB” or the “Company”), a leading designer and manufacturer of AC and DC electric motor drives and controls, has been acquired by Nidec Corporation (“Nidec”, NYSE: NJ).  PB&W served as exclusive financial adviser to KB.

Founded in 1968, KB offers a full line of drives and controls for AC and DC motors primarily used for industrial automation, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC), pumps and material handling systems. The Company manufactures more than 200 types of standard off the-shelf controls for a variety of industrial and commercial applications and also offers a wide range of drive customization solutions.

Erik Appareti Promoted to Vice President

Transaction Announcement: Midwest Microwave Solutions has been acquired by HEICO

PB&W is pleased to announce that Midwest Microwave Solutions, Inc. (“MMS”) has sold a majority interest to HEICO Corporation (“HEICO”, NYSE: HEI).  PB&W served as exclusive financial adviser to MMS.

MMS is a designer and manufacturer of unique Size, Weight, Power and Cost (“SWAP-C”) optimized communications and electronic intercept receivers and tuners for military and intelligence applications. MMS’ front-end RF and microwave hardware is used by the U.S. Intelligence Community for signal intercept applications, such as search, data collection, precision geolocation, direction finding and beamforming operations.
