Communications & Power Industries (CPI) has divested its ASC Signal Division (ASC) to Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (Kratos).  ASC designs and manufactures high-performance, highly engineered antenna systems for satellite communications (SATCOM), radar, electronic warfare (EW) and high-frequency (HF) applications.  ASC is one of the leading SATCOM antenna providers in the world, with antennas ranging in size from 2 meters to 18 meters.  For over 60 years, ASC has developed innovative, high performance antenna products used in a variety of mission-critical space applications including Telemetry, Tracking & Command (TT&C), SATCOM and Earth Sensing & Observation for military and commercial satellites in low (LEO), medium (MEO) and geostationary (GEO) orbits.  ASC is well positioned to continue to support the growing space and satellite markets.  ASC has facilities in Whitby, Ontario and Plano, Texas.

“Kratos has an extremely exciting vision for the future of dynamic ground systems, and we are inspired to become a part of it,” said Tony Russell, who led ASC and will run the Antenna/RF operating unit within Kratos.

Philpott Ball & Werner, LLC served as the exclusive financial advisor to CPI, ASC and Odyssey in the transaction.
