Moog, Inc. (NYSE:MOGA) has acquired California Linear Devices, Inc. (“CLD”), a designer and manufacturer of high performance linear servomotors. Located in Carlsbad, California, CLD specializes in linear servomotors and motion control solutions using brushless, direct drive technology that provides an alternative to hydraulic and pneumatic sources for linear motion control. CLD products are designed for a wide range of motion control applications such as factory automation, material testing, packaging, pumping and tufting. CLD will become a part of the Moog Components Group.
Moog is a global leader in the design and manufacture of precision control systems for high-performance applications on military and commercial aircraft, satellites and space vehicles, launch vehicles, missiles, automated industrial machinery, wind energy, marine and medical equipment.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Philpott Ball & Werner served as advisor to Moog.
